The url is requested via the http GET method to ensure a HTTP 200 OK response is received. This only checks if the website is down only. Page size and content is not checked. If the device is down, alert will be sent.

Verifies if the secure server is accessible and returns proper response code. If the device is down, alert will be sent.

Checks if device available and verifies content change of a specified page. If device is down or content changed, alert will be sent.

Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) packets are sent to the monitoring host. If the packets more than half of the packets are lost with a specified time frame, alert is sent and device down is recorded. Note that many firewalls are configured to reject or ignore ICMP packets. This will prevent us from monitoring your devices. We ask you to whitelist our IP addresses. A list of IPs can be found in the ip page.
